Q) What are PANTONE and Spot colours?
A) Pantone and Spot colours are solid colours taken from a swatch which are not made up from CMYK
Q) Do you have Artwork templates?
A) Yes we can offer a full range of templates for your artwork. These are available upon request.
Q) Can I have a photo printed on the CD?
A) Yes but remember that at the centre of the disc there will be an 18mm clear hole. Not a good place to put a face.
Q) What is the difference between a Glass master and a Stamper?
A) There is no difference its just a terminology used in the industry
Q) What is screen printing?
A) This is a method of printing your artwork direct on to a CD/DVD. Films and screens are produced from your artwork, which are then loaded onto the printer. As your disc passes each section and layer of ink is applied. At each point this ink is then cured by UV lamp before the next layer is applied. This is repeated until the picture is completed.
Q) Can I have Litho printing on my DVD?
A) Yes provided that there are a minimum of 4 colour
Q) What is Duplication ?
A) Duplication is a process of putting your information onto the disc. This is termed as burning. The reason for this is the laser burns this information onto the recordable side of the CD/DVD. This method is more suited to small runs of fewer than 500.
Q) What is replication?
A) We use this method on larger runs of 500 and over. A Glass-master stamper) is produced from your master disc and then that information is stamped to the hot polymer that makes your disc.
